A fellow teacher, and avid biker for many years, recommended this bike shop. I went in to test a Giant Escape bike and met Chris, the owner, a very laid back, out going person. With no sales pressure, he encouraged me to not only test the bike, but to try out different saddles and to "give it a good ride." His price was not only $30 cheaper than the other lowest price in the area (Deerfield Cycle), but he threw in a kickstand, cage, and bottle at no charge. Chris, you should know, offers a YEAR of adjustments. Most shops offer a one time, 30 day or so tune. SO FAR, I've been back three times. Each time, he's either made adjustments, or offered tips. Today, I traded in the saddle since he had encouraged me to try the one that came with the bike for at least 50 to 75 miles. At no charge, he switched the saddle for another style, telling me to "try it out." He also made an adjustment to my son's bike, and wouldn't take any payment. Who wouldn't want to deal with a shop like this?!

Just bought a third bike from Chris's. This purchase was a new bike for my son (he out grew his old bike). Prior purchases included a bike for my wife. They sell Giant Bike's, are family owned, and honest. Nothing fancy about the shop; they simply provide outstanding value for the price.

Small, family run shop,I'm puzzled by the fact that they did, in fact, have some used bikes for sale...maybe, unofficially! they were very busy and undermanned at the time of my visit,but, friendly and helpful enough that I pitched in and helped unload a shipment of bikes that came in while I was wasting their time with idle chat.
Amazingly willing to work on the worst kind of junk!

Outstanding knowledge, product and service. We have purchased 4 Giant bikes and have never been disappointed.
Owner is sincere, honest and trust-worthy. Have returned to the shop for accessories - absolutely no difficulties or problems. This is a good guy with a good product!

I bought a Raleigh from him in 1984 (Peters Sports) and a Giant in 1993(Chris's Cycle). Top notch service and an honest guy. My 5 year old will get his first mountain bike from him next summer. It is worth the trip from Chicago.

I bought my first moutain bike from this shop about 12 years ago and just brought it in for service. He turned my bike around in one day and he did the same with my son's bike. No doubt I will be buying my next bike from Chris's Cycle Center as well. As avid cyclist, they had all the answers to my questions on searching for a road bike for a triathlon.
